moving files into groups which match the filesystem

  • Subject: moving files into groups which match the filesystem

As my project grows I've been making Groups for my source files, normally after I've added them and added them to SCM (subversion). This is great in XCode but still the files in the actual filesystem mostly end up in either the project root or under 'Classes', depending on what was selected when the file was originally created.

What I'd like to do is move the files under group "Foo" to subdirectory "Foo" in the actual filesystem and move them in SCM too. It's easy to make Group 'Foo' point to a new directory but either the original files go red if I left them in the group or, if I drag them out first, then move them back in, they end up with path ../filename.

Is there a way in XCode to move a Group to a new directory, move all the files in it there too (on the filesystem) and have it move them in SCM at the same time? _______________________________________________
