How to update Xcode to 3.1.4?

I am building a large scientific program on Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5.8). My current system was configured over the past few years, and it builds OK using Xcode 3.1.3. I see 3.1.4 has been released.

I need to put together a new build machine running Leopard. The XCode version on the install DVD is 3.0. I remember that upgrading XCode was essential on my current build machine.

How do I update Xcode on the LEOPARD machine? Software Update does not do it, and I could find no "update" item in Xcode's menus. On the Web I find update to version 3.2.1, but that is Snow Leopard only. I need to build a binary that runs on Leopard.
