I'll second that this is extremely annoying too!
I am sure someone Xcode guru will point us to a really obvious Prefs
setting though....... (please).
Kind regards,
Stephen.

Alright, I'm finally so annoyed by this that I have to ask/complain.
In 3.1 and earlier, Go Back/Forward was completely file based. In
3.2 it's now selection based. If you bounce around within a file, Go
Back/Forward tries to go back/forward to follow those jumps. The
problem is that I hate it. It bounces around within the same method
far too much, doesn't always put the selection back exactly where
I'd expect it to, and when I want to go back to the previous *file*,
it sometimes takes fooorrreeeevvvveeeerrrrr to get there.
Is there any way of making it be file-based again? Severals years of
expectation and habits are now out the window and it's driving me
nuts. I'm having to use the mouse a lot more.
Thanks,
