It's not "hard" per se, it's just SLOW. I'm used to using Cmd-Option-R (Run) or Cmd-Option-Y (Debug) or Cmd-Y or Cmd-R to rebuild and Run/Debug. That wasn't happening any longer.
Someone pointed out to me the trick of setting UIApplicationExitsOnSuspend in the Info.plist and this cured all problems.
