On or about 7/3/10 10:21 AM, thus spake "Sam Krishna" <email@hidden>:

Then maybe something else is wrong? When I do Command-R, it works just fine.
By that, I mean if rebuilds if necessary, offers me the chance to stop the
running app if necessary, and runs. There doesn't seem to me to be anything
slow about it.

Loading and running on a *device* is slow, but it works.

But that turns off support for multi-tasking, which is one of the main
reasons for recompiling and testing under iOS 4 SDK in the first place.

I'm sorry I've no positive words of wisdom to offer, but so far your
description of what you're seeing doesn't match what I see on my machine.
What I see is that when you stop the app by clicking the Home button, either
on the simulator or on the device, the process doesn't really stop, and back
in Xcode, the Stop Sign button is still enabled; that is to be expected,
given the nature of multitasking. But Command-R works for me as it always
did.

PS By the way, the list of apps shown when you double-click the Home button
is not a list of running apps or background apps. It's a list of recent
apps, running/backgrounded or not.
