Target actions

Is it possible to add custom action menu item for external build target?

There are 'Build' and 'Clean' actions, sometimes some more Build variations, but I don't know if it is even possible to add 'Install' action or so on? For now I'm just creating new target for purpose of running make install, but that does not seem right.

i know it is possible to invoke different actions from command line using xcodebuild, but I'm looking at way to do it from gui.
