Well, just one hour ago I would say the same, but after checking iRAPP stuff, all I can say that i am very pleased with results.
I'm using my iMac at work, and two other colleagues are logged in also from their Windows workstations, without interfering with others. So, given enough LAN bandwidth, this could possibly be very good solution.
