Xcode nicely adds all it's "build" directories to the exclude list of Time Machine (at least in reasonably recent versions), so that I don't have to bother excluding the build directories manually...
However, for some projects, we have redirected the shared precompiled headers folder to a project-relative location by defining the SHARED_PRECOMPS_DIR build setting in a shared build configuration file. Since Xcode creates the shared precompiled header folder - shouldn't it also make sure it's excluded from Time Machine backups?
Since it's not doing so at the moment - is there a supported way of automatically adding them (e.g. using a shell script) to the list of excluded or skipped folders? I assume I can change the Time Machine prefs file, but I'd just like to check whether there is a supported mechanism of adding exclude/skip folders?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
