Did you try /app/util/icon composer.app ?

Unfortunately, no dice there.  Several problems:

1. If you paste into it, the image data is corrupted (repeated thrice, smushed, garbage appended).  Bug filed.
2. Only allows specific sizes.
3. Doesn't output PNGs.
