True, and I think the example with find illustrates the issue very well. If you say Command-Shift-F where you are in a new tab or window, you open a different Find navigator; the old one still holds the results, but that's not where you are. You have to know which tab they're in.

A kind of workaround is to open split panes by option-clicking instead double-clicking. At least that way you can survey the various results here. But that can get you a lot of panes.

Another problem is that there seems to be no way to say "just open a tab for every result I just found". If that existed, it too could be a workaround.

Yes, I see exactly how errors are like finds in this regard. They are both a kind of search result, and you'd like a way to reach all of them. I find this example very compelling; I hope you've submitted a bug!

My only workaround on that one is the explanation I gave earlier for how to make a window or tab contain nothing but the console. m.
