In both versions the "Welcome to Xcode" window that opens at launch allows you quick access to your recent projects.

Hm.  No such window appears.  Nothing appears on launch.  I have to go up to the file menu and manually open my project every time.

This is Xcode 4.0.1.  Happens on more than one system.
