Thanks for the comment, Michael. Well, I should have been more careful in reporting that it was a warning I was getting from the linker. I added the 10.6SDK specifically for the x86_64 architecture and although I'm still getting the warning, the kext loads fine on 10.6 booted in 64 bits.
