failed doc searches in Xcode 4

  • Subject: failed doc searches in Xcode 4

I just switched back from programming iOS to doing some Mac OS X programming and I'm amazed at how bad the documentation search and code completion are in Xcode 4. For example:

* If I search on print: I get NSWindow's print: but not NSView's print:.

* When I ask for code completion on draw... on an NSString instance I don't get drawAtPoint:withAttributes: as a choice.

Of course I already know these things exist, so I can find them anyway; but what if I didn't? Is everyone else seeing this sort of wackiness, or is there something wrong with my installation? m.
