The only place ppc64 is useful is if you have an app that needs more than 4 GB of virtual memory.  We ship an app that is ppc64 & x86_64 only, and the ppc64 stuff works quite well in 10.5.8.  Still, it is the buggiest of the 4 Mac architectures.

Also note that 10.5 was the last SDK to support ppc64.
