I added a new device to my provisioning account.
I created a profile for the app ID and device.
I installed the profile and selected it in the Build Settings pane.
But, it won't appear on the device. Usually when I click Run it takes a few seconds for the process to proceed and I see the progress bar get filled as it does so. But, in this case it immediately claims to be running on the device with almost no delay. I made sure there was enough room in the device memory.
One other possible clue. When I first accessed the device in XCode and selected "Use for Provisioning" it started to go through whatever process it does for that, and it asked me for my login info. I had an error in my password so it halted. Now in the Organizer it says "XCode cannot find the software image to install this version." I'm thinking this might be the problem, but I can't figure out how to proceed. Should I delete the device from my profile and start over?
I find it more than annoying that Apple's portal instructions for doing all this stuff doesn't match the latest versions of XCode and it hasn't for many months. That's pretty sorry attention to documentation.
Is there a place to get correct and up-to-date information on provisioning?
