It's a matter of the user finding his way into the Core Image stuff. On my machine, if I search the docs on "CIFilter" I'm not shown the Core Image Programming Guide unless I turn on Mac OS X as a searchable doc set. There is in fact a copy of the Core Image Programming Guide in the iOS doc set, but a search on "CIFilter" doesn't find it - unless I turn on Mac OS X as a searchable doc set, in which case it shows both the Mac OS X copy and the iOS copy. This makes the docs pretty hard to use for Core Image. On the Web, searches work and all the right links work. m.
