The "jab" was meant to be both pejorative and descriptive. Xcode is a _developer_ app, not a user app, yet developers are not allowed to use it in the way that makes them most productive. Why? Who do you know was ever asked by Apple what we would like? That is the classic much-maligned Microsoft mentality, to force users into a certain workflow mold "because that's what we're giving you." I tried using Xcode 4 but gave up because I can't do what I need to do with it, such as cross-developing 4 projects at once with numerous dedicated-content windows arranged the way I need. I don't think 2-dimensionally, but that's the only development workflow Xcode 4 supports. Why?
