I’d say that would be hyperbole. Xcode is a free download, or $5 if you’re not already on the developer program.

Maybe it’s because I remember the days when Macs didn’t ship with dev tools at all and you had to pay $200 or more for CodeWarrior or MPW; but I don’t feel such a sense of entitlement about this. Or are you just trolling us?
