I'd highly disagree with this statement.

CVS is ancient and has more problems than I care to list.  Perforce is also long in the tooth.

git and SVN are by far the dominant SCM systems today.  It makes perfect sense to offer integration with the most common ones.

I'm sure somewhere there's a company with lots and lots of code in RCCS.  Should we be angry at Apple for not supporting it?  How about MPW Projector?  Visual SourceSafe? ClearCase?

Finally, the only thing you lost was IDE integration.  You can still still perform all your SCM tasks at the command line.
