Sorry, you have no choice.  If you want Xcode integration, switch to Subversion or git.

No, Xcode will know nothing about the CVS status of files.  As far as Xcode is concerned, it will be a non-version controlled project.

You'll have to do all your checkouts, checkins, diffs, and other CVS work at the command-line.

However, it's not that big a hardship to work in that manner.  Before Xcode supported git, that's exactly what git users did.  It's still what Mercurial users do.  And it's what I did with Subversion until recently when Xcode's SCM integration was horrible.
