Xcode 4 - how to build an existing framework?

  • Subject: Xcode 4 - how to build an existing framework?

Hi All,

Looks like Xcode 4 is final so I hope it's ok to ask a question. I opened an existing framework in Xcode 4. I pressed command-B (Product > Build) to build it. I received this error

"The selected run destination is not valid for this action."

It feels like Xcode is trying to run my framework.

My questions: how do I just build (like xcodebuild) without running and where is the build log? I've seen the build log but I don't know how to display it. There doesn't seem to be any way. I have used the new (curiously narrow) search to search the docs and limited the search to Xcode Docs but I can't find anything on it.

Thanks a lot
Marc
