Is the tiny console sub-pane in the debugger pane driving you crazy in Xcode 4? Here's a solution. Open a second tab or window and configure it to show nothing but the console: View -> Show Debug Area, and slide the debug pane all the way up to fill the window. Eliminate the nav pane and the variables. Now go back to work in your main window or tab. When you are debugging, if you want to read the console, switch to that second tab or window. There's the console, full size. This works because once you've filled a window with the debug pane, it stays - as long as it is secondary. Woe to you if you Stop or Run in that secondary window - then the debug pane will start jumping around and you'll lose your setup. m.
