Right. As you said it doesn't bring the exact document. But On my
machine, it actually searched, although it required me to click one of
those search result.
Why I mentioned that i wanted to say that there was a workaround
although it was not perfect. I don't like the functionality either.
For quick help, I think they indexed it. Probably it was too hard for
them to index it? I think they used http://......#...
So, I don't think it will be difficult, but probably their full document
was changed a lot, they may give up indexing those when they built the
xcode? I don't know.
But I agree with you. I also want to have full documentation not mini help.

No! At least, not on my machine. It enters the selected text for searching in the Documentation window, but it *doesn't do the search*. And in any case there is no need to *search*; there is a *direct link* to the correct API, somewhere behind the scenes, as the Quick Help proves when you click within it.
