This thread is getting a little annoying as there will always be people that will like the new Xcode 4 and will always be people that will hate the new Xcode 4. I'd be tempted to suggest to those who can't cope because of their long developed habits to stick with Xcode 3.2.6 like I did, but not for the same reasons. Dang, there are a lot of things I hate Apple doing but I'm not going to start complaining daily. This list is about users of Xcode having problems doing something with Xcode. Problems don't include things you used to be able to do with the previous version but can't in the new version. I don't think that's the purpose of this list. You can still create your own list if you want to debate ad nauseam about the merits and the lacking of Xcode 4 or file a bug!

Well Laurent, I think *your* complaint is misplaced. At this point in time, many people are giving back feedback to Apple that something is wrong for them. They are using several channels to do that. One of them is this thread. It builds up as a discussion which is useful to many: it helps articulating what is really wrong in which workflow, form what is merely adaptation stress.
You may not belong to those who feel there is anything wrong with the Xcode 4 handles window management. At least you seam to believe this is blown out of proportion. That's fine. The only cost to you is one press of your backspace key every morning. You don't even need to unsubscribe from the list.
Cheers,
Jean-Denis
