FWIW I talked to a Mac developer in another department.
He was very frustrated. He said, "Xcode 4? Who @#$%! asked for this?"
Very good question.
I remember another developer I helped away from Windows a couple of years ago. He was using the Visual C++ "one window" IDE and struggling with its imposed limitations. I showed him Xcode (not sure which version, 3.1?) where you could develop the way you want to, and his eyes bugged out.
I really hope Xcode 4 gets a user preference setting to we can use it as *we* see fit. After all, isn't Xcode supposed to be for we the developers? Until then I'll be forced to put off the switch for as long as possible.
