I'm not disputing this point, but I was *also* trying to say earlier in this thread that it's to our own advantage as developers to (gently) propel our users in the direction of a more recent OS version, if we can do it without driving away too many customers -- our development costs are *lowered* by dealing with fewer old OS versions.
The irony is that, apart from apathy, the main reason users still have to stick with Leopard is compatibility with older software (yet a different issue). So, it could be said that developers who are actively developing now are supporting (i.e. paying for) the work of developers who left the scene years ago, leaving their software on Leopard or Tiger versions. :)
Snow Leopard was released almost 2 years, ago, right? And Leopard was, what, 3 years before that?
