Xcode 4 reserves the use of the Option key, hardcodes it to have a special meaning, for any command that can result in navigation (opening a file, or taking you to a different location inside of a file). That's why you can't assign keyboard shortcuts with the Option modifier key to this command (and others like it).
At this point Xcode 4 prevents you from assigning a keyboard shortcut that wouldn't work, but it doesn't let you know why. So, both good and bad...
