I agree. After stumbling around a little finding where things are in Xcode 4.2, you realize it's a big improvement over Xcode 3.
Integration of Interface Builder is particularly nice.
On the other hand I have had some crashes -- 2 or 3 over a 3-week period of fairly heavy usage.
On one of those crashes, I was unable to continue using Xcode. My app would no longer run and there was an error message saying that something was missing (forget exactly what the message said). I tried cleaning, rebuilding, restarting Xcode etc, No luck. Finally I reinstalled Xcode and that cleared it up. Lesson learned -- don't throw away "Install Xcode" in your application folder. You may need to use it again. As far as I can tell, you can't re-download Xcode from the App store.
Related subject -- it's nice to see that we have the web-based archives again. However the search function does not seem to work yet.
Capability for searching the archives is probably its most important function.
