What OS?
What’s the backtrace of the crash (as shown in the crash log)?
Does this happen with every .xib file or just certain ones?
What pref files did you delete, exactly?
Did you file a bug report with Apple? (This won’t get you a quick answer, but it’s good to let them know the problem exists.)
