Matt,
I know it will affect me. I want to support entitlements if I can but right now, with the list we have, it seems like an uphill battle. It will severely cripple my application and will likely annoy users, assuming that if they select a folder in the open dialog, I'll be able to access that folder for reading and writing. If not, that's the dead of my application on the App Store and maybe for good.
As for OS X running only apps from the App Store, well, before, there were no App Store, then the App Store came. Some restrictions are enforced. Now, more restrictions are going to be enforced. I'm just saying that there is no telling when Apple decides that only apps from the App Store can run on Mac OS X, specially considering how "iOSized" Lion has been. Just a thought I have been having and that concerns me, nothing more, nothing less.
-Laurent.
