Apple also has a stated policy of not allowing apps that crash into
the App Store. But I have installed some iOS Apps that have highly
repeatable crashes, and have seen quite a few product reviews in the
App Store itself, complaining that the Apps crash.
I've avoided upgrading Skype for my iPhone, for example, because I
checked out the reviews when I was considering the upgrade a couple
months ago. There were numerous complaints that it crashed all the
time.
There are lots of other apps where the reviews say that older versions
worked well, but newer versions work poorly, not at all, or crash.
It would be quite nice if Apple stopped banning ladies' swimwear
catalogs for being pornographic, while at the same time allowing the
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition because Sports Illustrated is a
well-established brand, but instead actually enforced those of the App
Store acceptance policies that make real sense, such as forbidding
apps that crash.
