Hm, OK, so the installer installs an installer called "Install Xcode.app" in the applications folder.
Well, I ran that one and Xcode was installed just fine. However, when I launch it it crashes right of the bat with this error:

Xcode[832]	[MT] DVTAssertions: UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION (NSInternalInconsistencyException): Couldn't load plug-in 'com.apple.dt.IDE.IDEiPhoneSupport' while firing fault for extension 'Xcode.Device.iPhone'

Oh dear, what's this then?

Thanks and regards,
Sebastian Mecklenburg

Looking at the install log it seems that the installer extracts the content into a temp folder and then deletes the temp folder again and that's it. The available disk space indicator is conform with that: during installation it goes down from 111 GB to 109 GB and afterwards back to 111 GB.
