I've mentioned this before, and I don't think it is related to any of the discussions here. But just in case...
I am getting a failed file access on several Xcode documentation files (listed below). I am seeing this in my audit trail analysis. I'm guessing Xcode is trying to open the files read-write because otherwise the open() call should succeed.
