I haven't seen 1, but there are quite a few people over in the Apple Developer forums who've experienced something similar. You might want to go hunt down a few of those threads and see what they tried.
For 2, I gave up with SVN a while back because Xcode just really seemed to be telling me "Use GIT". That doesn't help you at all, sorry.
