You may not have such influence, but Apple absolutely does. Only a fraction of potential bug reports are actually filed, because so many devs are put offside by the closed and uncommunicative nature of the process.

A note to Apple: if you care about developer feedback, your chances of receiving the best possible quality and quantities of it would be increased by learning from companies that do this well. Atlassian and JetBrains come to mind.

The fact that Apple is so outstanding in so much of what it does makes it all the more mysterious that it is such a laggard in this respect.
