You can automatize all f this using a custom "Behavior", and define a keyboard shortcut to open it.
For instance, I have a "cmd + shift + C" shortcut that open the "Console" tab (in a separate window), that show the "Log navigator", and that Navigate to the "current log".
My main problem with the console window is that this is a read only console, and I can't type command for the debugger (which is pretty silly IMHO, especially as there is no easy way to get a real full window read/write console. The debugger console is ridiculously small).
