Look up on the menu bar. The second item under Help is labeled
Xcode Users Guide. I'd think that would be good place to start.
The issue with many (most?) introductory texts is that they are
too soon out of date. It sounds like you want a "hit this button,
now drag from point A to point B" tutorial and that is exactly the
thing that is not only specific to a particular version of Xcode,
but also to user preferences.
When you want more information than that covered in the Xcode Users
Guide click on "Xcode 4 User Guide" in the jump bar. That will list
other Xcode documents that will help answer your questions. You'll know
where the jump bar is after reading the Users Guide pointed to by the
Help menu. Pay attention to the dates of the docs. Some are older.
Xcode may have slightly changed since the doc was last updated. What
you see on the screen and what is written in the doc may be slightly
different.
Once you are somewhat familiar with Xcode open the Organizer and select
the Documentation tab. In the sidebar click on the eye (Explore Documentation).
Select the Xcode 4.3.3 Developer Library. Doing just that limits you to
Xcode related docs and you get 101, not over 300. I like to sort them
by date to see what is new and may need scanning even if I've read them
before. Otherwise I look for a doc title that pertains to my current task.
