That's what I meant when I said "add my shared framework to my application target," which you have to do before you can set up the explicit dependency build phase. But for me adding the framework project to the application project was not enough; I had to make it an explicit dependency in the dependencies build phase, as well.
I wonder if it would help if instead of dragging the framework in, you clicked the + button in the Link Binary With Libraries phase, and tracked the framework down using the Add Other… button.
I am not sure that this does Anything Good if you change the path of either the project or the framework.
