I'll be honest, this discussion has alot of 'it crashes' and 'it's unreliable' in it, but I am not seeing specific cases, which others might be able to offer workarounds. Yes, sometimes the workaround is 'don't do that' but so far the ONLY issue I have found that I cannot work around is one that I have not sorted out a rhyme or reason to (yet). That problem is that every couple of weeks, I will start a debug session, and it will simply hang there, requiring a force quit and restart. Of the 'Crashing', I have seen it, but as far as I can tell it is always when I do something I know better than to to, open a project that that is a linked 'subproject' that is already open in another workspace. Could it be handled better? sure. but I know not to do it, and generally avoid it.
Short version, quit kvetching about generalities, post specific issues, and let the community gnaw on them.

No one seems to know why it was changed. What was the problem in Xcode 3 that brought us Xcode 4? New management team, perhaps?
