It seems to be working fine in Xcode 4.3. However, Xcode 4.3 still has an intermittent problem with "sticky" issues after a build, and others have been reporting that when these sticky issues are spurious they won't go away at further editing and they won't display the source of the error when clicked on. So the problem may exist but not be specific to the clipping issue. Another issue, which has probably been mentioned before but I will mention again for archives' sake, is that the specific "View is clipped by its superview" warning will only disappear when you rebuild. I was able to guess what might be the issue but I had to use a change->build->change cycle to fix the issue without ruining my UI. In Xcode 3, the warnings went away by themselves. Interestingly, "clipping content" warnings are cleared as soon as the issue is fixed. The clue is that the yellow warning sign icon means you must rebuild before the warning will clear, but the blue exclamation in a circle icon means it will go away immediately. FWIW.
My circle is gray. WTF? Another log for the pyre that's building for Xcode 4 in Salem? Oh, wait, that's a different thread.
