"Wild claims"?  All I reported was that I lost work and suspected Lion's file versioning.  It wasn't wild originally, and it's looking less wild the more information we uncover.

This is the dialog presented in Xcode:

Notice the repeated use of the phrase "as a version."  That implies that Xcode is indeed using some kind of versioning.

I don't really care what the source of the corruption is.  It just needs to stop.

Maybe Joar can tell us how we can capture the state of the versioning database for diagnosis if we encounter this problem, to help them troubleshoot.
