xcode-select: Error: No Xcode folder is set.

  • Subject: xcode-select: Error: No Xcode folder is set.

I installed Xcode 4.3.1 on a system running OSX 10.7.3 (upgraded from 10.6.8 and Xcode 3.2.6). I also installed the Command Line Tools.mpkg package. Xcode.app now resides in /Applications. I get this error message:

>> xcode-select: Error: No Xcode folder is set. Run xcode-select -switch <xcode_folder_path> to set the path to the Xcode folder.

What "Xcode folder" is this referring to?
