After further testing I found out that the crash only occurs if the search option is set to "start with search term" with activated "Wrap" option:

Steps to reproduce:

1) Open any cpp file in Xcode
2) COMMAND + F
3) Click loupe in find control
4) Select "Show find options"
5) Select "start with search term"
6) Check checkbox "Wrap"
7) Select any multiline text segment
8) COMMAND + E
8) COMMAND + G

-> Crash
