Screw it. If I can't find a way to return the old Mac experience,

I'm sorry you feel that way. I guess my point is, the times, they
are a-changing. And when things change, one can either accept the
change, or learn to accept the change, or fight the power, or drop
out.
Or just add a preference to allow the user choice.
There are still a few features from Xcode 3 that I miss in 4, but
I'm not going to fight the power or drop out. There is a time and a
place for dropping out, but it's usually when something is a
totally lost cause. So I'm going to keep retraining myself and
adjusting my workflow for changes.
The things is, that right now, Lion and XCode 4, are, to be kind, not
very good, in fact a real disappointment. I think we are witnessing
the beginning of the end to be honest. We will end you with MacOS X -
Windows Edition! It's amazing to think that a few years ago someone
at Apple made a speech when announcing a new version of Mac OS X (I
think Leopard or Snow Leopard), gipping MS and Windows for saying
that the latest Windows released (I think Vista or Windows 7) has
copied major part of the Mac OS X. He made a joke about how they kept
copying the Mac!
What do they now say? In Lion (and I suppose Mountain Lion) we have
copied Windows and a mobile phone OS? Doesn't really sound right and
I never thought I'd be writing it!
