Hi Joar, everyone.
FWIW I updated to Xcode 4.5.2 (build 4G2008a) and did not experience "every project reverts to "iOS Device" destination when reopening an existing project, or when creating a new project.
Additional info:
1) Xcode installed in /Application
2) No other Xcode installs in same HDD partition.
3) Xcode 4.5.2 was updated using MAS.
Hope this helps the Xcode team.

As you may imagine, in an source version control system, that is really annoying as you cannot look at a file without having to close it and reverting the changes that Xcode did. I did file a ticket for this but I haven't heard anything. This is really, but really annoying. I did signal it when 4.5.0 was released and was very eager to install 4.5.1 when it came out. Alas, the bug was still there. I was then a little less eager when 4.5.2 come out yesterday because, as I had expected, the bug is still there. (rdar://12308164)

After some time using the debugger, at some point, when you try to autocomplete a symbol, instead of showing the popup with a choice of autocompletion, the debugger just inserts the first one it finds. If you don't pay attention, it screws up what you're typing and then you are in for a little fight with the debugger. The only I found to resolve this is to stop your debugging session, quit Xcode and relaunch it. Very annoying when you're in the middle of a serious debugging task. I also filed a ticket on this, marked as a duplicate, rdar://12176023.
