What I do, in order to keep different versions of Xcode from tromping on each other, is to keep not separate *users* but separate *partitions*. Yes, this is a pain in the butt. But it's not as big a pain as running a lower version of Xcode and finding that it has somehow destroyed the ability of a higher version of Xcode to run, which is a very real event that I've seen all too often. m.
