Provisioning profile 'FooGame Dev' specifies the Application Identifier 'com.latencyzero.FooGame' which doesn't match the current setting 'com.latencyzero.FooGame'
What does this really mean? So helpful.
The "Application Identifier" isn't exactly the bundle identifier, but is the bundle identifier preceded by your "bundle seed id". One cause of the sort of problem you're seeing is trying to use the "wrong" bundle seed id. Once upon a time, you could have as many different bundle seed ids as you want, but now (basically) you generally can only use one "for real" -- the bundle seed id matching your developer id. (It's a bit more complicated than that. The wildcard app ids that identify your Mac and/or iOS testing profiles don't matter, since you don't ship anything using them and therefore they are never validated, so they may have a different seed id.)
Even though you can no longer create app ids with new bundle seed ids, if you ever did this in the past, your app id can stop working when you (e.g.) enable iCloud for your app, with messages like the one you got.
I suggest you take this up via email with Developer Program Tech Support (which is *not* the same thing as Developer Tech Support). DPTS were the friendly, helpful people who solved a similar problem for me. |
