Filtering sub-directories in FileMerge

  • Thread-topic: Filtering sub-directories in FileMerge

Is there any way to compare two directories, and use a filter to exclude
certain sub-directories within the top-level directories?

(Using FileMerge 2.5 with xcode 3.2.6)...

Basically, I want to compare two complete project directories (different
versions of the same thing), each of which contain various source code
folders, build folders, resource folders etc., and only have it show me the
differences in the source and header files, not every other extraneous file
in the two directories.

Or is there a way to specify only .cpp, .cp, .c, .h files instead? It seems
the filters work on exclusion, not inclusion. I've tried specifying a bunch
of suffixes to ignore, but it still doesn't get me what I want.

Thanks,
- Stephen
