OK, I simply copied the 10.6 SDK folder from the old location in /Developer on my 10.6 boot volume into the new location buried within /Applications/Xcode on my 10.8 volume, and it worked as soon as I patched up some C++ that LLVM griped about. By "work" I mean that it shows up in the popups, and is selected, just as it was in 3.2.6. (I'm starting from a project that specified 10.6 SDK/deployment to begin with, not starting from scratch with a new project.)
