Some problems with pre-build actions

I've added a simple pre-build action to update my Info.plist on each build.

Problem 1: Subversion doesn't see any part of the Xcode project as modified and needing to be checked in, so that this pre-build script can be picked up by others.

Problem 2: I can't seem to generate any output into the build log from my script. I have an echo "foo" line to be sure.

Appreciate any help…
